This Terms and Conditions Agreement is a legal contract between NYUSU.NEWS and the user, governing the use of the website and associated services.

Accessing or interacting with the platform constitutes formal acceptance of these terms, and continued use following any modifications signifies agreement to the updated policies.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

  • Non-Consensual Imagery: The sharing of sexually explicit, intimate or nude images or videos of another individual without their express and verifiable consent.
  • Child Exploitation: Any material depicting, facilitating, or promoting the sexual exploitation or abuse of minors. Violations involving child exploitation will result in immediate termination and reporting to law enforcement.
B. Hateful Content and Hate Speech
 
We do not tolerate content that promotes violence, incites hatred, or discriminates against individuals or groups. Prohibited material includes but is not limited to:
  • Hate Speech: Content that attacks, demeans, dehumanizes, or vilifies individuals or groups based on protected characteristics. These characteristics include race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, age or veteran status.
  • Incitement of Violence: Text, imagery, or audio that threatens, encourages or incites physical violence or harm against a specific person or group.
  • Hate Symbols and Propaganda: The display, promotion or distribution of symbols, logos, slurs or flags historically associated with hate groups or systemic discrimination.
  • Harassment and Bullying: Targeted abuse, stalking, doxxing or malicious intimidation directed at any individual.
Enforcement and Right to Moderate
 
We reserve the right but do not assume the obligation to actively monitor user-generated content. To enforce these rules, we may take any of the following actions at our sole discretion:
  • Content Removal: We may remove, delete or obscure any content that violates this policy or that we otherwise deem objectionable without prior notice.
  • Account Restrictions: We may temporarily suspend or permanently terminate your account and block your access to the platform.
  • Legal Action: We reserve the right to report illegal material or activities to relevant law enforcement agencies and regulatory bodies.

Proprietary Information

The material and content accessible from this site, and any other website owned, operated, licensed, or otherwise controlled by NYUSU.NEWS is the proprietary information of NYUSU.NEWS or the party that provided or licensed the Content to NYUSU.NEWS whereby such providing party retains all right, title and interest in the Content.

Accordingly, the Content may not be copied, distributed, republished, uploaded, posted or transmitted in any way without the prior written consent of NYUSU.NEWS, except that you may print out a copy of the Content solely for your personal use and you may re-post a single image and up to one hundred (100) words of continuous text from any article if such posting provides a right of attribution to NYUSU.NEWS and promotes the article on other websites including social media sites.

Modification or use of the Content except as expressly provided in these Terms and Conditions violates NYUSU.NEWS’s intellectual property rights. Neither title nor intellectual property rights are transferred to you by access to this site.

From time to time, the website will utilize various plugins or widgets to allow sharing of content via social media channels, email or other methods. Use of these plugins or widgets does not constitute any waiver of NYUSU.NEWS’s intellectual property rights.

Such use is a limited license to republish the content on the approved social media channels, with full credit to the website.

Use of Communication Services

11/ Falsifies or deletes any author attributions, legal or other proper notices or proprietary designations or labels of the origin or source of software or other material contained in a file that is permissibly uploaded;

12/ Advertises any commercial endeavor (e.g., offering for sale products or services) or otherwise engages in any commercial activity (e.g., conducting raffles or contests, displaying sponsorship banners, and/or soliciting goods or services) except as may be specifically authorized on this site;

13/ Solicits funds, advertisers or sponsors;

14/ Includes programs that contain viruses, worms and/or Trojan horses or any other computer code, files or programs designed to interrupt, destroy or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware or telecommunications;

15/ Disrupts the normal flow of dialogue, causes a screen to scroll faster than other users are able to type or otherwise act in a way which affects the ability of other people to engage in real time activities via this site;

16/ Includes MP3 format files;

17/ Amounts to a pyramid or other like scheme, including contests, chain letters and surveys;

18/ Disobeys any policy or regulations including any code of conduct or other guidelines, established from time to time regarding use of this site or any networks connected to this site; or

19/ Contains hyper-links to other sites that contain content that falls within the descriptions set forth above.

NYUSU.NEWS reserves the right to monitor use of this site to determine compliance with these Terms and Conditions, as well as the right to remove or refuse any information for any reason.

NYUSU.ONLINE reserves the right to terminate your access to any or all of the Communication Services at any time without notice for any reason whatsoever.

NYUSU.NEWS also reserves the right at all times to disclose any information as necessary to satisfy any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request, or to edit, refuse to post or to remove any information or materials, in whole or in part, in its sole discretion.

Materials uploaded to a Communication Service may be subject to posted limits on use, reproduction and/or dissemination and you are responsible for abiding by such limitations with respect to your submissions, including any downloaded materials.

Notwithstanding these rights, you remain solely responsible for the content of your submissions. You acknowledge and agree that neither NYUSU.NEWS nor any third party that provides Content to NYUSU.NEWS will assume or have any liability for any action or inaction by NYUSU.NEWS or such third party with respect to any submission.

Managers and hosts are not authorized NYUSU.NEWS spokespersons and their views do not necessarily reflect those of NYUSU.NEWS.

Submissions

Except as otherwise provided in a separate written agreement between you and NYUSU.NEWS, you hereby grant NYUSU.NEWS a royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide, non-exclusive right and license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, distribute, publicly perform, display and create derivative works from all content, remarks, suggestions, ideas, graphics or other information communicated through this site (collectively, the “Submission”).

NYUSU.NEWS may incorporate any Submission into other works in any media or technology now known or later developed.
 
NYUSU.NEWS will not be required to treat any Submission as confidential and may utilize them for any business purpose (including, without limitation, products or advertising) without incurring liability for royalties or any other consideration.
 
NYUSU.NEWS shall incur no liability for any similarities that may appear in future company operations. All personal information submitted through this site will be handled in accordance with the NYUSU.NEWS Privacy Policy.
 

Free Credits

NYUSU.NEWS may distribute free promotional credits to readers. As a contributor, you accept that members can use these credits to subscribe to your channel and that standard revenue-splitting policies do not apply to credit-based subscriptions.
 

Content Hosting and Attribution

Registered channels and contributors must host their uploaded content on an approved third-party media hosting service or a self-hosted device and provide a valid and direct link to NYUSU.NEWS during the submission or uploading process to ensure optimal service performance and user experience.
 

Image Submission and Design Standard

To maintain a consistent and professional aesthetic across NYUSU.NEWS, all contributors must adhere to the following Hero Image and Picture Lede requirements.
  • Visual Clarity: All uploaded primary images must feature a clean, professional design free of clutter.
  • No Text Overlays: You may not overlay titles, subtitles, captions or promotional text directly onto the image.
  • Logo Restrictions: Logos are permitted on images only if they directly relate to the published story and do not violate public interest, copyright laws or community standards.

Failure to comply with these visual guidelines constitutes a breach of these Terms and may lead to the immediate suspension of your account and publishing privileges.

Age and Training Background

By registering a channel, you agree that you are at least 18 years of age and possess either a formal background in journalism education or a minimum of 3years of professional reporting experience. NYUSU.NEWS demands strict professionalism and journalistic integrity in every story published across our platform.
 
By registering as a member or subscriber, you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years of age.
 

Use of AI Technology

Channels are permitted to utilize AI as a reporting aid on the condition that all AI-generated content maintains absolute factual integrity. The channel retains ultimate editorial responsibility as a gatekeeper of the public interest.
 

Prohibition of Advertisements

All content uploaded to NYUSU.NEWS must be entirely free of advertisements, promotional materials and commercial branding. This restriction applies with exception including any logos or watermarks in the media player from the third-party media hosting companies.
 
Failure to comply with this regulation constitutes a material breach of these Terms may result in the immediate suspension or termination of your channel.
 

Intellectual Property Rights

All content, features, and functionality on NYUSU.NEWS are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret and other intellectual property laws worldwide.
 
Trademarks
The trademarks, service marks, trade names, and logos (“Trademarks”) displayed on this site—including but not limited to SOCIAL MEDIA EXAMINER® and its distinctive logo—are the registered and unregistered marks of NYUSU.NEWS or their respective international owners.
 
Copyrighted Materials
All original website elements (“Copyrights”), including page headers, custom graphics, button icons, scripts, text, and source code, are owned exclusively by NYUSU.NEWS.

Copyright Infringement

Pay-Subscription and Renewal

Channel subscriptions are billed on a non-recurring, 30-day basis.

NYUSU.NEWS does not automatically extend or renew subscriptions as content quality across individual channels may fluctuate.

Subscriptions must be manually renewed by the user. All purchases are non-refundable.

NYUSU.NEWS reserves the right to issue promotional credits at its sole discretion in place of monetary refunds.

Pay-Subscription Revenue Splitting

When a user purchases a 30-day paid subscription to a channel, the gross subscription price is subject to a revenue-sharing allocation.

The channel operator shall receive 92.5% of the net subscription revenue which is calculated after the deduction of all processing fees, transaction charges and other applicable levies imposed by banks, credit card companies and third-party payment gateways.
 
NYUSU.NEWS reserves the right at its sole discretion to modify this splitting percentage at any time and without prior notice.
 
Furthermore, NYUSU.NEWS maintains the absolute right to adjust, increase or decrease the revenue split for any individual channel without any obligation to provide justification or prior explanation.
 

Refund

Under most circumstances, pay-subscriptions is non-refundable. At its sole discretion, NYUSU.NEWS may provide compensation to subscribers or members in the form of free subscription credits.

Termination and Restriction of Access

NYUSU.NEWS reserves the right in its sole discretion to terminate your access to any or all of NYUSU.NEWS’s content and the related services or any portion thereof at any time without notice.

Indemnity

You will indemnify and hold NYUSU.NEWS, its subsidiaries, affiliates, licensors, content providers, service providers, employees, agents, officers, directors, and contractors (the “Indemnified Parties”) harmless from any breach of these Terms and Conditions by you, including any use of Content other than as expressly authorized in these Terms and Conditions.

You agree that the Indemnified Parties will have no liability in connection with any such breach or unauthorized use, and you agree to indemnify any and all resulting loss, damages, judgments, awards, costs, expenses, and attorneys’ fees of the Indemnified Parties in connection therewith.

You will also indemnify and hold the Indemnified Parties harmless from and against any claims brought by third parties arising out of your use of the information accessed from this site.

Limitation on Liability

NYUSU.NEWS is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without any warranties of any kind  either express or implied.
